POLICY ON THE USE OF COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Last updated: 01.09.2026
1. General Provisions
1.1. This Policy on the Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies (the “Cookie Policy”) explains how Pathrest LLC (the “Company” or “Pathrest”) uses cookies, browser local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, session identifiers, affiliate identifiers and other similar technologies on the website www.pathrest.am and its subdomains (the “Website”).

1.2. The Cookie Policy applies in conjunction with the Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy, the User Agreement and other applicable documents of the Company.

1.3. The specific set of technologies may change as the Website develops and new booking, analytics and advertising systems, payment solutions and APIs are integrated. The Company undertakes to reflect material changes in the then-current version of this Policy.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
2.1. A cookie is a small piece of data that a website or a system used by it may store in the User’s browser/on the User’s device and read upon subsequent requests.

2.2. Similar technologies may perform comparable functions without using a conventional cookie file, for example by storing settings in localStorage/sessionStorage or using a technical session identifier, pixel or tag.

2.3. Certain identifiers, when combined with other information, may be considered personal data. In such case, they are also processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
3. Purposes for Which Pathrest Uses Technologies
3.1. To ensure the technical operation of the Website, protect forms and sessions, support authentication and enable the operation of the Personal Account.

3.2. To store the selected language, currency, search parameters, shopping cart, settings and other User preferences.

3.3. To enable the booking process and associate the User’s actions with the relevant Order/booking number.

3.4. To measure Website traffic, performance, errors and use of Website features.

3.5. To determine the referral source and affiliate attribution, including where the User proceeds from the Website to an external website of a seller or supplier.

3.6. For marketing, evaluation of advertising campaign performance and personalisation, solely to the extent and on the basis permitted by applicable law.
4. Categories of Technologies
4.1. Necessary technologies. These are required for the core operation of the Website and functions expressly requested by the User, including security, sessions, the Personal Account, the shopping cart, booking and storage of strictly necessary parameters. Disabling these technologies through browser settings may impair the operation of the Website.

4.2. Functional technologies. These remember settings selected by the User, such as language, currency, regional preferences or interface preferences. Depending on the specific implementation, some of these technologies may be necessary for a requested function.

4.3. Analytics technologies. These make it possible to understand how the Website is used, including pages visited, navigation, errors, session duration, device type and aggregated statistics.

4.4. Marketing technologies. These may be used to assess advertising campaigns, create audiences, cap advertising frequency and perform other marketing functions.

4.5. Affiliate/attribution technologies. These are used to record the referral source, affiliate identifier, click ID and/or another parameter that enables an external seller or affiliate network to determine that the User was referred by Pathrest and to calculate the remuneration due to the Company.

4.6. Payment and anti-fraud technologies. A bank, acquirer or payment provider may use its own technical means for security, authentication, fraud prevention and payment processing. Their use may also be governed by the relevant provider’s documents.
5. Affiliate Model and External Sellers
5.1. For certain services, in particular under the current flight-ticket search model, after selecting an offer the User may be redirected to the website of an airline, seller, aggregator or other external platform.

5.2. During such redirection, technical attribution parameters may be transmitted, such as a partner identifier, source, click ID, campaign tag and other technical parameters required to record the referral and Pathrest’s commission.

5.3. After the redirection, the external website may set its own cookies and use its own technologies. Pathrest does not determine the rules governing their use; the User should review the policies of the relevant external operator.

5.4. The mere fact that Pathrest receives an affiliate commission does not mean that Pathrest is the seller of the service, unless otherwise expressly stated in the relevant offer/Order.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1. The Website may use third-party analytics, booking, affiliate marketing, mapping, communication and abuse-prevention systems, payment interfaces and other integrations.

6.2. A third-party service may receive technical data directly from the User’s device. The scope of such transmission depends on the particular integration and the consent settings selected by the User.

6.3. The Company maintains an internal register of the technologies actually integrated and, as necessary, updates publicly available information about their categories and purposes.
7. Consent and Management of Settings
7.1. If applicable law requires prior consent for a particular non-essential technology, that technology must be activated only after the relevant consent has been obtained.

7.2. The User may select available categories through the cookie management interface, if such an interface is provided on the Website.

7.3. Refusal of analytics or marketing technologies should not in itself prevent the use of the Website’s core functions, except for functions that are technically dependent on the relevant technology.

7.4. The User may change or withdraw previously given consent using the settings management mechanism available on the Website. Withdrawal takes effect prospectively.

7.5. In addition, the User may delete or restrict cookies through browser settings. This may result in the resetting of stored preferences or disruption of individual functions.
8. Retention Periods
8.1. Session cookies generally remain active until the relevant browser session ends.

8.2. Persistent cookies and other identifiers may be retained for the period specified for the particular purpose and relevant service.

8.3. Pathrest seeks not to retain its own identifiers for longer than is objectively necessary for the relevant purpose. Retention periods for third-party technologies may be determined by the relevant providers.

8.4. If the actual set of technologies changes, the Company may publish or display a more detailed list of cookies specifying the provider, purpose and retention period.
9. Personal Data and Cross-Border Transfers
9.1. Where information obtained through a cookie or similar technology constitutes personal data, the provisions of the Privacy Policy apply.

9.2. The use of international analytics, affiliate, cloud and other services may result in cross-border transfers of data. Such transfers are carried out where the legal basis and safeguards required by applicable law are in place.

9.3. Pathrest does not use this Policy as a substitute for separate consent where such consent is required by law for particular processing or a cross-border transfer.
10. Protection Against Consent Manipulation
10.1. The User’s choice must be recorded by technical means in such a way that the Website can apply the relevant settings.

10.2. The Company does not regard the mere continuation of browsing the Website as blanket consent to all non-essential categories where applicable law requires a more specific expression of intent.

10.3. A refusal or settings-management button must not artificially block access to core functions for which non-essential technologies are not required.
11. Amendments to the Policy
11.1. The Company may update the Cookie Policy in the event of changes in legislation or Website functions, or when technologies are integrated or disabled.

11.2. The current version is published on the Website together with the date of the most recent update.

11.3. If an amendment requires new consent, the Company requests it in the manner prescribed by applicable law.
12. Languages
12.1. The Policy may be made available in Armenian, Russian and English.

12.2. In the event of discrepancies between language versions, the Armenian version prevails unless otherwise prescribed by mandatory provisions of applicable law.
13. Affiliate attribution and external sellers
13.1. For services involving redirection to an external website, a market ID, click ID, affiliate parameters, UTM tags and similar identifiers may be used to determine the referral source, calculate Pathrest’s affiliate remuneration and prevent abuse.

13.2. Technical attribution does not mean that Pathrest becomes the seller of a service purchased and paid for on an external website. The parties’ roles are determined by the rules applicable to the relevant category and the offer interface.

13.3. Non-essential analytics, advertising and other technologies for which consent is required by law are activated in accordance with the User’s settings, while technically necessary technologies are used to the extent required for the operation and security of the Website.
